Collaborative Exquisite Corpse Prints

These prints measuring 28"x48" were created as the culminating assignment in a Printmaking for Educators course I taught at VCU that covered planographic, relief, serigraphic, and intaglio processes suitable for K-12 and adult learners. I wanted students to collaborate on the relief project and asked what they'd like to do. Several said "exquisite corpses!" there were 11 students and myself, just enough for 4 different exquisite corpses that were later mixed and matched in different combinations. The completed prints were part of a printmaking exhibition we held at Gallery 5 in Richmond for the month of August 2018. Below are some of the images. I created the heart head with tree and cells hair---"Heartwood, Goddess of the Forest."
